The Appointed Boundaries of Canaan
The Leaders Appointed to Divide the Land
Numbers 34:1-15
The boundaries of the Promised Land are laid out from which the tribes with inherit their allotment. The exact location of some these places is unknown. These boundaries don’t reflect the actual border of Israel at any point in history. These boundaries don’t align with those given to Abraham in Genesis 15 but they are in line with that of Joshua.
Numbers 34:16-29
Moses would not be around for the division of the land. His leadership would be passed to Joshua. He and Eleazar, Aaron’s son, the high priest, would divide the land. The tribal leaders to who the inheritance would fall.
